So…I cant believe that I fell in this trap but I did…so just to warn others. There are more posts related to this on Yahoo answers, but a little older…so I thought I would refresh the info. There are a lot of internet money making scams out there, but these people get better and better. They advertise on what it seems like legit websites, they say they will only charge you 1 for shipping fees and they put Google in their name to make it more credible. Anyway, after one pays the 1 then you can see if you look carefully on the bottom of the page, with very small letters, that they will charge you a membership fee of 79 monthly. They never say anything about this before you pay. Below I pasted the email confirmation I got from them…and it says something about a membership fee now, but still not how much it is. People apparently got charged the amount after 7 days without even knowing why. Anyway…right after I signed up for it I called the 1800 number listed below and they cancelled my account. But still Im worried about my credit card…Ill have to watch it carefully! Ive opened an single member LLC. Im interested in using Quick books Pro. My business will be rather small and a side type deal until I get situated and settled, retail sales and service. Wasnt it Adam Smith who said in the Wealth of Nations “capitalism functions best under the rule of a monarchy or aristocracy. If merchants were allowed to govern themselves, as in a Democracy similar to the USA, it would be the worst form of government under which capitalism can function. It is hard to believe that an economist that the founding fathers of the USA would cite as a source as their economist would have such an opinion about how capitalism would not thrive in a democracy. Consider that the Wealth of Nations was published before the United States even existed as a sovereign nation. The British speak in English differently than Americans. Their accent is different. There choice of words. The USA is governed by a President and Congress. The UK is governed by a monarch Queen Elizabeth and Parliament. The legal and justice systems are different. In essence, the British have a different culture than Americans even though we share the same common language. Would it not follow that how Americans do business is different from how the English do business? It is no problem to show a topless teenage girl on page three of a British newspaper. It is a problem to show a bloody photograph showing graphic depictions of blood and gore that are seen daily in American newspapers who self righteously shun any nudity for the sake of the common good. I have personally found myself running into conflict with this in regard to what UK Yahoo lists as community guidelines. To follow them I have had to put my thinking cap on to imagine what the average British person would find offensive, as community guidelines vary as widely as the stretch of the Atlantic Ocean and two different types of governments so divide the British from the Americans. I have learned that it seems to be perfectly acceptable to label Israelis as Nazis and include links to hate cites that promote antisemitism. However, for me to ask question about Cape Cod and post a link to my Flickr account with a few innocent photos of the Cape, seems to get every Brits knickers in a twist. A few posters started a rumor that my link contained photos of my penis which isnt true but somehow believe by every poster after that. Then some person, from overseas no doubt, reported my question for some arcane violation which I have disputed. I have had beyond a frustrating relationship with paypal. I no longer want to use them. I saw that I can still sell on ebay if I use an online merchant account, however, you have to have a credit card through thatparticular merchant processing service.I would like to continue selling on ebay as soon as possible. I have contacted Merchant one…they are taking forever, I even tried Moneybookers, but they want to send an address verification in the mail, etc. Anyone know a good online merchant processing provider, I can use to sell on ebay that is approved by ebay, and I can start selling within 3 to 5 days. I bought two items from a very well known store in England, one tshirt and some headphones. Costing 27When it came to paying for the items at the checkout there appeared to be a problem.I used my debit card for the transaction, the card is in good working order, plenty of cash in the account and was used succesfully that day in a previous establisment.The store clerk asked me to insert the card into the chip and pin, yet the card was not registered. Troubleshooting such as reinserting and cleaning the card followed to no avail.The clerk then swiped the card using the magnetic strip and printed off a merchant receipt which I was asked to sign.I signed the receipt as directed to which the clerk attempted to print off what I believe to be the customer receipt.Unfortunately the receipt did not appear, then the clerk exclaimed that there seemed to be a problem. Concerned I asked if it could be my card. The clerk stated that it was not my card, that it was the till.She pressed escape on her keyboard. I asked,”Has that transcation gone through”, she then replied,”No” and turned the screen round to show me that it had not gone through, unfortunately I cannot read in store tills so this meant very little to me.She then swiped the card again and printed off abother merchant receipt, but left on the desk and said it was best not to sign that receipt just yet. This was left next to the signed receipt in front of me.The clerk then showed me another tills transactions, displaying the transactions made, but not received by what I assume was the debit company? I am fairly in the dark as to what I was shownAgain I asked whether the transaction had gone through, to which the clerk swears it did not.The clerk made a call out to the supervisor. The supervisor, who I can state is the assistant manager, attempted to rectify the problem.The second clerk then asked me to use the chip and pin again on another till and the transaction went through fine.I asked will I be charged multiple times for the transaction to which the clerk replied,”No, as they have not gone through but I will print off the receipt for you”The clerk printed off a long receipt, mentioning something about the other two receipts not printing out and wrote on the processed receipt;Clerks NameAssistant ManagerProblem with till while processing the transactionSignatureAgain, with added worry, I asked if the clerk was sure the other two transactions had not gone through. The clerk replied by saying that,”This till has some problems sometimes, there is a one in a million chance that it will go through strange thing to say? but if it does, then you will have to come back next week and show this receipt.”With her reassurance that the transactions will not go through, I left. Though I left with an uneasy feeling that this may not be the end and I may have to travel all the way back, which is not a short journey, to the shop to deal with this problem if it arises, which it unequivocally should not.I am writing this on my part as a record of the events, to cover my bases if such an unfortunate event as an extra two withdrawls from my current account happens and what I could do as a customer.The transaction took place today which means it will not appear in my statement for maybe another two days, I am very worried and would rather know in advance on the procedure on dealing with such a clumsy problem if it arises.Thanks in advanceAdam

Okay guys so my website is under construction. I have programmers working on it right now and it should be completed within 23 weeks. Upon completion, users will pay a onetime sign up fee to become a member. As far as the legal stuff goes, my plan was to create a single business name with a single business account that I could also use for other websites I plan to own in the future as well. Is this a good way to go about things? My main question to you all is, what are the necessary legal documents I need to fill out to make this a legitimate business? Id also like advice on the best way to go about having a merchant account where all the membership fees would be transfered to. Ive looked online for the best merchant account service and found a site called charge.com. Anyone familiar with this? I live in NJ by the way. Youre advice is greatly appreciated as I dont want to make any costly mistakes and I want this to go as smoothly as possible. Thanks again!
